About me

Freelance writer, puzzle maker, former researcher

I write about math and create puzzles for a broad audience. This includes a column on mathematical curiosities for Scientific American, daily puzzles for the Morning Brew newsletter, and a former puzzle column at Gizmodo. I have a PhD in theoretical computer science from Harvard, where I primarily did research on the role of randomness in computation and on data privacy.
